



Dr. Andrew Hooper
Veterinarian
Andrew Hooper, DVM, received his Bachelor of Science in Biology in 1989, and graduated from the University of Illinois, College of Veterinary Medicine in 1993. He and his wife both grew up in central Illinois, then moved to Florida after graduation, living first in Marion County, then in Citrus County. He has worked as both a relief veterinarian and private practitioner. In August, 2014, after many years as the primary relief veterinarian, he became the owner of the Inverness Animal Hospital. Dr. Hooper enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons. He is active with the local Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts. Dr. Hooper also enjoys attending his son’s sporting events, camping, biking, gardening, golfing, working outdoors, and reading. His family shares their home with three adopted / rescued cats that provide daily entertainment and comic relief.

Phyllis
Certified Veterinary Technician
Phyllis graduated from St. Pete Junior College(now St. Pete College) in the Veterinary Tech Program in 1979 with an A.S. Degree. She is married with one adult daughter. Her daughter and son-in-law have given Phyllis four wonderful grandchildren. Phyllis and her husband are a feline friendly family caring for six cats. Free time for Phyllis is shared between activities with the church including singing in her church’s Praise band, family time with her daughter and the grandkids, and riding with her husband on his Harley.

Angela
Receptionist
Angela recently moved from South Florida and joined Inverness Animal Hospital in April 2018. She has been working in Veterinary medicine for 15 years. Angela shares her home with 3 kitties, Butters, Frankie and Yankee, 8 Chickens, and a happy hyper pup, Penny. She spends her free time living her best life with her wonderful daughter and husband, baking (cake decorating), crafting, dancing, kayaking, exploring outdoors, wakeboarding, riding her ATVs and going on adventures to new places.
